Having Courage Comes in Many Forms
Our 1440 culture is defined by each one of our employees: how they support each other, how they encourage each other and how they create magic moments for our residents together. When each of us are spending the majority of our lives at work, sometimes we forget all the unique aspects of our coworkers’ personal lives and how they spend their time when they aren’t at work. For example, Michael Dickerson is a server at StoryPoint Troy who has been chosen by his team to be acknowledged because he embodies the 1440 culture by always going above and beyond expectations. Not only is Michael an important part of the team because of the care he shows to the residents and his colleagues, but he is also a high school senior who will start Army boot camp in August before joining the 1st Battalion, 148th Infantry Regiment.
When we asked Michael’s leaders about him, they described him as a good kid with a big heart. He has proven himself as a leader who is constantly looking for opportunities to help his coworkers, which will undoubtedly aid him in his newly sworn commitment to the National Guard. We are grateful for the excellent work Michael does for our residents and are excited to hear about his future.
